Mud Volleyball opportunity for grade eights!
As some of you may know, there is a mud volleyball tournament, with a team from our church, happening every year. This is open to kids grade eight and up! So, if you’re interested in joining this team, and have a blast getting filthy and competing against other teams, call the church office, or Sarah or Cuinn Simpson, to let them know.
For inspiration, here is the video of last years tournament. Doesn’t it look like something you would want to do?
On Tuesday, March 10th, the Static Youth had the last sledding event of the season at Riverdale Park. The temperature was around 7 degrees Celsius, so the parking lot was one big puddle, with mud and ice under the water.
However, there was still enough snow left on the hill to have lots of fun sledding. The kids had a great time, and only the offer of hot chocolate, and the enticement of going to The Well (a local coffee shop) after the event got them to come off the hill.
I am sure the mothers were delighted with getting their muddy, dripping kids back when it was over. 😉
Here is a video and some pictures that hopefully convey the happy mood the kids were in. And you get to see Mike Barzo, one of the youth leaders, fall when trying to go down a small hill standing up! Mind you, I expect it is easier for kids to do that, thanks to them being shorter.
